OXY Clinical Review and Giveaway

Momma Told Me: This is just an awkward phase, you won't always look like this.

Oh mom, how wrong were you on this- but points for trying to comfort your little girl.

Who hasn't had acne? Some may consider themselves 'acne free' is their face isn't covered in craters or blotchy blemishes. However, the truth is acne can surface in mild outbreaks anywhere on the body where oil, sweat, and dirt build up. And treatment is not reserved exclusively for those with glaring flare ups and confidence issues. While acne IS a medical condition, it is not always characterized by the dramatic symptoms portrayed in modern media. Just a few sprinkled pimples qualifies, and men are certainly no less susceptible than the ladies! While many who experience moderate to severe acne as teenagers will go on to see flare ups throughout their adult life, there is good news; it's treatable.

I didn't have particularly bad acne in high school, though I was incredibly self conscious of any bumps or blotches. Unfortunately for me, stress seems to trigger outbreaks, to this very day. Of course, as a married woman I know my 'hunting' days are behind me and my husband will love me no matter what 'pops' up on my face. But that doesn't seem to make it any easier to deal with when it's staring you back in the mirror! With the new to us house, our finances have been a little strapped, and while I would have loved to jump into an expensive acnew treatment program, it simply wasn't practical. I needed to find a wallet friendly solution, that worked, or grin and bear it.

When OXY approached me with a review opportunity for their Acne Solutions Pack I was on board. I'd seen the brand at our local grocer before, but always had reservations regarding the quality. The pack often went on sale for $9.99 or less- how could it possibly be an effective solution when brands beside it reached prices in the double digits? As I eagerly awaited the arrival of my Acne Solutions Pack, I poked around the company's website and read up on some fellow blogger's reviews. I was impressed to note new customers can easily request a FREE one use sample pack online, with absolutely no commitment or harassment. As for the other reviews? They seemed enthusiastic, but the physical proof was a bit lacking to me.

The formulas seemed basic enough, even traditional, with a regimen of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide based formulas. An informative video on the OXY website explains the difference between regular benzoyl peroxide and Oxysphere benzoyl peroxide. According to the company their latest technology, the OxySphere caplets release the benzoyl peroxide over time, to fight acne throughout the day, between applications. It's clinically proven to eliminate up to 99% of acne bacteria within just 8 hours! Paired with the salicylic acid based Wash and Hydrating Therapy, your skin is conditioned to shed oily, and dry layers, while opening pores and expelling dirt and bacteria.

I'm no scientist, but I was eager to experience the advertised results. My OXY Clinical Kit arrived and I was surprised as to how compact the packaging and treatments were. It's the perfect size for a gym bag, locker, or traveling- and won't advertise your facial issues with tacky over-sized neon bottle like some brands. The kit, which retails for $14.95, is meant to last 2-3 weeks depending on application and frequency of use. Grabbing my camera, I wasted no time in beginning treatment. My problem areas included my nose, upper cheeks, and base of chin, which throughout the summer had been consistently broken out. I was hoping to see a more subtle change in my skin consisting of a smoother texture, and more even color.

My first treatment was surprisingly easy, and began with washing with the included OXY Clinical Advanced face Wash, and drying completely. Then, I applied the OXY Clinical Skin Clearing Treatment, waited for it to air dry, and added a light layer of OXY Hydrating Therapy. Once my last step was complete I was able to apply my make-up as usual. I'd like to note that while the bottles are small, a little does go a long way for application! I personally used the OXY Clinical products twice daily, in the morning after showering, and at night after removing my makeup. Within 5 days I noticed an immense improvement in the coloring of my face, and the clusters of existing blackheads.

Halfway through the second week I was regaining confidence, and had to run my fingers across my skin to notice any straggling clogged pores. There were no large, or visible blemishes, and I could walk around without foundation- no more irritated red patches. My skin also seemd to be regulating texture better, instead of oily patches, my face was uniform, and dry to the touch! I think I enjoyed that the most. When my face was no longer visibly oily, I knew OXY was working! Above you'll find my week 2 photos sans makeup, see how much smoother my face is, and how much smaller my pores are!

The transformation is truly wonderful, I even look so much better in makeup! Before my foundation would clump on oily or bumpy patches, and my cheeks would be shiny just hours after application. I simply cannot believe how smooth my skin is! See with makeup at the end of week 3 above, with make-up free to the right, above! Click any of the images for full resolution inspection!

What Daughter Says: I am blown away by the performance of OXY Clinical. I will definitely be frequenting this brand in the future for all of my acne needs!

  160. I learned that acne blemishes should not be picked or squeezed. Squeezing can force the pustule contents deeper into the skin, causing additional inflammation and possible scarring...heavensent1@yahoo dotcom

  179. I'm a follower and Acne is caused by hormonal imbalances that lead to the over activity of oil glands, causing an excess secretion of oil. This oil accumulates below the skin and can lead to the clogging of pores.
