Now Spring wouldn't quite be Spring without a tall glass of iced tea, and around here we never go instant- especially now that fresh brewed is so simple (and even fun)! Takeya's affordable Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker is the perfect Housewarming or general gift for any tea lover. Including a 24oz Brewer and 66oz Serving Pitcher it couldn't be easier to whip up a glass of Momma's Sweet Tea. The actual Brewer includes a rotating infuser for loose leaf blends, or fresh fruit infusion for that natural sweet taste that's chemical free. I simply love that the serving pitcher is tall and narrow, to save space in my fridge, and on my table.

I couldn't wait to brew my first batch and rushed to scoop several spoonfuls of Vanilla Roobios and Strawberry Red Tea into the easy attach infuser. Next, I filled the brewer with steaming hot water and screwed the twist lock cap on. When assembled correctly no fluid can leak from the brewer, sideways, upside down, or while doing the Conga (a great thing because tilting and swirling speed up the steeping process). Within minutes I was ready to twist the brewer cap and pour the fresh tea over a full pitcher of ice. Not only weren't there any drips, but the same swirling motion helped flash chill my beverage in minutes. I couldn't believe with the ease of brewing fresh iced tea at home- no more awkward bags, or burning pots!

The clean up process was just as convenient, as the brewer came apart in 4 pieces that were dishwasher safe. With the loose leaf blends I found hand washing, with a direct stream of water over the filter worked most efficiently. I've since found the process so flavorful and fast I brew nearly every other day. I love playing with fruit infusions and tea blends, and will even carry my no-spill Takeya pitcher with me to share!
