Momma Mondays: Navitas Naturals Power Snacks

First of all; I must disclose that I could not, in any way, be categorized as a “Health Fanatic”. In fact, I generally will go for the foods that are considered to be, really bad for me. I know better, and I really do have good intentions with regards to what I ingest. But on the past, my willpower has been non-existent. Believe me; I do realize that I have not been doing myself any favors. For many years now, I have been ignoring those little voices in the back of my head, telling me to “straighten up and eat right”. This ignorance comes with a price. All those years of consuming junk snacks has caught up with me. As I get older, I realize more and more that I should really start paying attention to the things, I choose to eat.
So; when I got the chance to review Navitas Naturals Power Snacks I figured what the heck; let’s give it a try. Navitas Naturals is based in Novato, California; just outside of the San Francisco Bay area. Being a California native, I am very familiar with California’s love affair with healthy and wholesome foods. It’s been that way for as long as I can remember. Back when I was a kid; my mom would throw an apple in my lunch pail and call it a day. Today’s parents and kids have so many more choices in healthy, energizing snacks. One of them is the Navitas Naturals Power Snack line of products. Note: Moms, you can put the Cacao Goji Superfood Power Snacks into your kid’s lunch and they will think they are eating brownies. No kidding, they are that good!

The two snacks that I received were the Cacao Goji Superfood Power Snacks and the Citrus Chia Superfood Power Snacks. These are bite-sized snacks made from the most nutritious, wholesome, nutrient-dense plants found naturally. These include such foods as chia, hemp, maca, camu-camu and maqui. The snacks are Certified Organic, Gluten and Dairy Free, High in Fiber and Vitamin C and contain no refined sugar.

The Cacao Goji Superfood Power Snack is like a little block of chewy chocolate. Surprisingly, it fools your taste buds into thinking that you are eating something, almost sinful. Since I am not a Choco-holic; I preferred the Citrus Chia Superfood Power Snack. My tastes have always been more geared to the citruses. Its apricots, coconut and orange are a nice combination of flavors. For the record; my husband preferred the Cacao Goji. That’s why we get along so well; he has his bag and I have mine. I can, honestly say, that I am surprised by how much I like these products. They are good for me and satisfy my cravings for something sweet. There is not much else to say but; try them for yourself and pick out your favorite.

Have only tried Navitas Naturals once, but was hooked from then on. If money were no obstacle, I would stock my pantry with this awesome food product! Wish I could do a review and get to try more of them!
