Bubbles of Love: Bake Me A Wish! Cake of Choice Giveaway and Red Velvet Chocolate Review~ 2/4

Momma Told Me regulars, please pay attention to Bonus Entries as some have changed for this event!

Momma Told Me:
Have your cake, and eat it too.

When it comes down to cake there are a few occasions we often think of first; birthdays, weddings, and parties. Generally, you have to be celebrating an event, or hosting a large gathering to enjoy a cake, right? That's exactly the reasoning behind Bake Me A Wish!, the company that believes everyone deserves to enjoy a little gourmet cake on their special day- no matter where they are, or what they're celebrating. In fact, bake Me A Wish believes you ARE the celebration, and no other reason is necessary to indulge. The fact is cakes come in thousands of flavors and sizes; they may say 'I Love You', or 'Hope Terrific Threes are better than Terrible Twos'. They can celebrate accomplishments, partnerships, and even bravery! What better way to pamper your significant other, this Valentine's Day then with their own personal cake? The only problem is, it's kind of hard to ship a cake, or is it?

Bake Me a Wish! specializes in unique gourmet cakes, shipped overnight, nationwide. They offer something within everyone's budget in tasty flavors such as 'Magic Bar Brownie'. While I can attest, from years of loyal experiences, these cakes are in fact gourmet and tempting, there is one aspect I appreciate most. Bake Me A Wish! partners with Soldier's Angels to offer what they call the Freedom Cake. When you purchase the Freedom Cake for a loved one in the US, Bake Me A Wish! will deliver a gourmet cake to a soldier serving overseas, in the name of that person. Each Freedom Cake features a special card informing the recipient that a cake has been sent to a soldier in their name, alongside an imprint of the American Flag. What a wonderfully patriotic gift for this years Fourth of July, or more importantly, any day you enjoy your freedom!

I'm a firm believer everyone deserves a cake on their birthday. Whether that's a full cake, a cupcake, or a pie (for those non cake lovers), we all deserve to feel the room light up like it did when we were young. I personally, make an effort to bring that extra touch to all the birthdays and gatherings in my life by making a home made cake. Bake Me A Wish! enables everyone to experience the loving feeling of a freshly baked treat in celebration of their birthday or momentous event. I can send my chocolate loving grandmother a Decadent Brownie cake in Massachusetts, from California! I also believe cake can be incredibly romantic, especially when the terms 'red velvet', and dark chocolate 'fudge' start flying around- ooh la la!

All Bake Me A Wish! gourmet cakes are made with the finest of ingredients in a New York family run bakery. Through their calendar, you can request reminders and pre-schedule deliveries for all your yearly events. Amazingly, these gourmet cakes afford-ably balance quality and convenience to deliver fresh cakes at a reasonable price. Singular Sensations start at just $19.99, plus S&H, and the Bake Me A wish! Decadent Delights run for just $34.99 plus S&H. Valentine's Day orders are taken right up until 24 hours prior, as all cakes are shipped fresh, overnight!

When it came time to line up this year's Bubbles of Love selections I instantly knew the company I wanted to reach out to. Bake Me A Wish! just so happened to have a festive selection of our favorite type of cake; Red Velevet. The company has a whole section featuring mouth watering, moist and fluffy, specialty cakes for Valentine's Day and the upcoming holidays, and mine featured a special White Chocolate 'Love' edible heart disc in the center. The 7 inch round Red Velvet Chocolate Cake feeds 6-8, and is decorated with pure Cream Cheese Frosting, housing two layers of moist Red Velvet Chocolate Cake with White Chocolate shaving dusted sides.

I received my Bake Me A Wish! cake on the scheduled day, packaged securely with a shipping ring, and nestled against an ice pack. The cake was cool to the touch, and visibly in tact, as pictured online when ordering. I was impressed with how moist the actual cake was and after cutting a small wedge, (near 1/10th of the cake). I was also surprised to realize the cream cheese frosting more so complimented the Red Velvet flavor, than overpower it. I decided this rich dessert could easily serve more than the suggested 6-8, especially when a la mode, though it's hard to imagine sharing this Red Velvet beauty!

In addition to the freshly baked, moist texture, and unbelievable flavor, Bake Me A Wish!'s Red velvet Chocolate Cake participates in the brand's Operation Birthday Cake program. This means 5% of all Red Velvet Chocolate Cake profits will donate directly to their mission to provide birthday cakes to deployed soldiers, overseas. The Red Velvet Chocolate Cake is also certified Kosher, and available for Saturday delivery, in most areas. Not a Red Velvet person? Choose from mouth watering, decadent, varieties such as Chocolate Truffle Lava, Smo're Brownie, and Tiramisu Classico. And if your sweetie is more of a classic cake fan, you'll also find Carrot Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, and Apple Crumb Tarts.

Thanks to the easy re-store box, and packaging our Red Velvet Chocolate cake kept for an entire week in the fridge, with only minimal decrease in freshness. We noted the edges (where the last slice had been cut) would become a little dry, but the cake within remained fresh and moist. I especially loved that the red velvet flavor was not too decadent to enjoy after a full meal, and the abundant white chocolate shavings added to the creamy frosting texture. We're certainly hardcore Red Velvet fans in this household, but I must admit, Bake Me A Wish! ranks up there with our new favorites!

What Daughter Said: You can have your cake, and feel good, too. Bake Me A Wish! helps you feel just a little less guilty about indulging in that craving for decadent cake!

Bake Me A Wish! has generously offered one Momma Told Me follower their choice of any cake!
