We've had our current cellphone service provider for a few years now and, while we don't have a contract, there are many factors that make us feel like we are still 'tied down,' and in a committed relationship with our service provider. Let's face it, the idea of switching cellphone service is scary because it's so hard to envision the bottom line- that mystery amount that will hit your inbox every month. Many major providers make their plans sound affordable, simple, and straight forward but you and I know there are always taxes, hidden fees, and 'add-ons,' that somehow sneak in. Then, after a period of time we become complacent- it doesn't seem 'that bad' in comparison to a previous provider, so we stick it out. And how about the hassle of switching phones or porting numbers? No thank you!
