Momma Told Me: Don't forget that in the freezer!

We have a small fridge that is completely inadequate for the amount of grocery shopping I do for our 3 person household. All this with a strict "If it's not going to be consumed imminently, it doesn't belong in the fridge," rule, in place. Naturally, not every guest wants to drink our 3 choices of beverages, and not every occasion calls for soda, water, or juice.

I have a fairly large collection of wines I have received as a gift, or brought home on clearance from the grocer. There is an entire shelf dedicated to these spirits, yet we consume alcohol socially, and typically less than once a month. As someone who likes to offer her guests a dessert wine, I'll often forget to place the bottle in the fridge until halfway through dinner. Then there's inevitably someone who prefers the sweeter blend over the more tart and fruity one, and in goes a second bottle of wine in the freezer. Sound familiar?

If you've ever found yourself entertaining, or simply craving a new drink you just brought home from the market, there's now a solution to the age old 'Place it in the freezer and hope it doesn't explode, when forgotten 3 hours later,' dilemma. It's important to notice the important design of the removable 'wine' lid, which slides from the front of the unit's top to allow bottle necks to rest freely. You should never operate your Cooper Cooler with the lid cracked up or resting on a bottle as this will cause water to spray everywhere and may damage the unit. While the water does seem to agitate everywhere inside the lid during operation, clean-up is as simple as wiping it down and allowing it to properly air before re-storing. Do expect a little operational noise during the chilling process as the internal agitator spins your beverage for even chilling. Larger containers seem to make less noise, while smaller containers will tumble a little inside the cavity during use. I describe the noise as a 'quiet blender.'
