Momma Told Me: Give gifts with meaning.
When I think of the holidays I think of my favorite comfort foods and the memories tied with them. Decorating fresh baked gingerbread cookies with grandma on Christmas Eve, fighting over the first slice of golden turkey breast at the Thanksgiving table, and even sharing a cup of chicken noodle soup through the sniffles of the flu. When yous top to think about it, there are several iconic foods that we often like to share with others; foods that create new memories and help us share old ones. Raised a short drive from the Southern California beach, my bonfire memories would not be complete without the toasty recollections of makeshift marshmallow skewers by the fire. There's simply something magical about s'mores, that they speak to all ages and walks of life. Naturally, enjoying a s'more often involves a valid excuse, such as a camping trip; and the accessories needed for such an event. Sure you can buy kits from a retailer, but it's not quite the same unwrapping a box of skewers and solid chocolate.
For those times when you
Gotta Have S'more, S'muffins were created to tickle your every taste-bud. Quickly placing themselves as one of the must have accessories for culinary events nationwide, S'muffins take all of the comfort of a freshly melted s'more and wrap them up in a, conveniently wrapper free, muffind presentation. With 4 tempting flavors; Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Caramel with Chocolate, and Cookies and Cream, these preservative free 2 x2" mini muffins are the answer to bonfire memories all year round. The secret is in the textured graham cracker crust muffin base which holds an astounding amount of density and moisture when heated for just a few seconds in the microwave. Next, each S'muffin is topped with a generous heap of fluffy marshmallow, gently roasted and garnished with a dollop of topping that identifies the S'muffin variety. These delicious treats are then bottom dipped in a complimentary chocolate and packaged for enjoyment nationwide.
It's undeniable that these S'muffins would command attention at any event spread, and surely be the hero of your next entertaining event. Not only do these unique desserts have a trademark presence that tickles the child in everyone, there's nothing else like it on the market today. Designed by Gotta Have S'more CEO and bakestress, Carmen Lindner, with a ribbon of care and love, each handcrafted S'muffin is a rich delicacy that makes up for it's humble presence in size. The secret is in the pre-serving flash stint in the microwave, which warms the graham muffin base and lightly melts the fluffy mallow for a perfectly balanced bite of chocolate, graham, and mallow every time. One half dozen package is sure to make anyone's holiday brighter, and to quickly become the most talked about gift of this year.
Carmen sent me a 6 piece, half dozen, S'mufin gift to sample in our home, featuring the new Cookies and Cream S'mufin addition. There was only one of these in our sampler, and I'm not ashamed to admit I claimed it first. Whenever the topic of s'mores came up as a child I would certainly snub my nose until the Hershey's Cookies N' Cream bar was brought out. Finding the right amount of time to microwave our S'muffins was a bit tricky, as every microwave is different. I found myself watching the S'muffin until the chocolate dipped ont he bottom became just soft enough to melt onto the plate gently. This was the perfect balance of warmth and softness for me, personally. My first bite into the S'muffin was more than generous, and I quickly learned to savor these treats. As rich as they are, it's the balance of indulging in each of the layers consecutively that really makes this a s'mores experience.
Everyone likes their s'more differently, which is precisely why Gotta Have S'more has created 4 unique S'muffins to enjoy. What I, personally loves, is that no single element out-shined the other. There was just the right amount of marshmallow toasted on the top, and just the right balance of gooey chocolate. The Caramel with Chocolate
S'muffin pictured above was a group favorite among my 'testers'. No face was left clean after a bite of this molten baked confection, and we all felt fully satisfied having finished just one. S'muffins go a long way for indulgence! The only downside to ordering S'muffins is that they must be shipped promptly and within appropriate packaging, like most fresh (preservative free) baked goods. Shipping is cheapest within California, where Gotta Have S'mores is based out of, but still well worth every penny outside of my home state. Again, you won't find anything like S'muffins anywhere else!
What Daughter Says: This holiday season, bring back childhood memories with an indulgent gift of S'muffins.
One Momma Told Me reader will win a half dozen S'muffins, plus free shipping within the United States.
