At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I love to receive mail, and I especially love surprises each month. Unfortunately, as we all know, surprises and mail aren't always a hit- you take in bills, catalogs, advertisements, jury notices- but there's nothing worse than paying for a surprise that doesn't suit you. I subscribe to 4 monthly subscription services, after years of weeding through trial offers and quirky start-ups. Anyone can run an 'of the month' program, but not every company understands that monthly subscription services don't have to be cookie cutter. That's exactly where Wantable comes in. Wantable has an affordable business model that enables free movement within the month's selections to help fit the subscriber's personal tastes. Much like other beauty minded subscription services, they have a comprehensive style profile, but their metrics system is much more advanced.
For over a year I have subscribed to a nail lacquer subscription service that offers 4 monthly bundles based on unique style profiles. Subscribers are encouraged to choose between the 4, each month, to what they like best. But the personalization stops there, as well as the element of surprise. Wantable has 3 different monthly box programs including makeup, accessories, and intimates; with an endless combination of items to be received each month. When you sign up you will be asked to take a fun and visually interactive profile- I took the Makeup profile and it was very in depth. Not only did it make me stop to better consider the choices I tend to gravitate towards, but it offered me the unique option to omit a product style, shade, or finish from my subscription all together. That's right, any item you specify that you 'dislike,' you will NEVER receive. That guarantees you will still get a surprising mix of beauty treats each month, to explore, without paying for something you'd never even consider to try.
Also included in my November Wantable Beatuy Box was a full size Starlook Mineral Shimmer Shadow compact in Conquest, a beautiful grey hue with gold tones. This paired beautifully with the Copper Girlactik eye glaze, which I'd never experienced before. I'd been afraid the sponge brush application would go on clumpy, but the result was a slightly iridescent golden accent that went even along my lashes and within the crease of my lids to help add definition and depth to my final look. The included MANNA Sheer Glo Shimmer Lotion was a big hit, with an ultra light wear that added just enough sheen for a natural glow that didn't tint my overall complexion/finish, in the slightest. In all, I had a chance to try some new makeup mediums and application techniques, and was delighted that I could use the products throughout the season, thanks to their full size presence.
I loved my Wantable experience, and have already been back to tinker with my preferences, and provide feedback on my own product experiences. The only minor complaint I have is that I can't seem to locate the items I received through my account. There is an option to return damaged items, or unwanted boxes, through my order portal, but no way to view the inventory as individual items. Adding such a streamlined option would help me keep track of my favorite finds, and potentially re-order them in the future. The Wantable web portal also has other useful resources for beauty addicts, including the Wantable Blog, which features simple tutorials and hot fashion trend tips to help you get the most out of your subscription. I found several of the products I received featured in user's YouTube makeup tutorials, which really helped enrich the value of my subscription. I look forward to experiencing the holiday and accessories subscriptions next!
What Daughter Says: When you don't have time to hunt down the latest beauty brands and color trends, trust the personal stylings of Wantable.
